Spring Performance Information

Tights and Shoes


The costumes include all accessories except tights and shoes. Specific tights and shoe styles are described below. It is highly recommended that every student has a fresh pair of tights for Dress Rehearsal and the Performance, as well as a backup pair just in case!

Little Beats: Pink tights, pink ballet or black tap shoes TBD by instructor.

Ballet 1-4: Pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

Jazz 1-4, Theatre Dance, Beg. Teen Jazz: Tan tights, tan jazz shoes.

Tap 1-4: Tan tights, black tap shoes.

Modern: Tan footless tights, barefoot.

Hip Hop: Tan tights, black sneakers.

Mandatory Dress Rehearsal


Dress Rehearsal will be on Saturday April 27, 2019 from 12-4pm at Vista Ridge High School. Out of respect to all students and staff, Dress Rehearsal is mandatory. Students are expected to think of the Dress Rehearsal as if it were the Performance -- complete with costumes, stage makeup, and hair styled as instructed for their class (TBD).

After Spring Break, a detailed schedule with assigned time slots for your student's class will be posted in the studio. Please check the schedule and plan to arrive 20 minutes before your class’ projected rehearsal time. Do not be late, or you will miss your rehearsal. Out of respect to all participants and production staff, dances will be performed in the specific order and time they are assigned. We are unable to wait for missing or late students and cannot alter the order in which dances are rehearsed. We have the facility and tech crew for a set amount of time, so we must stay on schedule.




Location


Both Dress Rehearsal and the Performance will be held at Vista Ridge High School Theater, located at 200 S. Vista Ridge Blvd. in Cedar Park. Please right click, "View Image" to expand the map below.




Participation


Participation in the Spring Performance is optional, but strongly encouraged. There is a $75 per student/$100 per family performance fee for participation in our show due by November 30, 2018. This fee is separate from costume fees, and helps cover venue and professional staff costs. Each student will have a costume ordered for them if they agree to participate in the show. Instructors choose the costums for their classes. To ensure that costumes arrive on time, we must order and pay for them the week before Christmas. A deposit of $65 per costume is due by November 30, 2018. Any remaining costume balane will be communicated along with a payment deadline of March 1, 2019. A $15 late charge will be applied to each fee that remains unpaid after December 7, 2018. Your student's costume will not be ordered if any fees are unpaid by December 14, 2018.
